Shopify POS is an application that lets you sell your products at markets, pop ups, and in-store. Order processing and accepting payments are all done from your Android phone, iPad, or iPhone. With Shopify POS you can search for a customer’s product, accept payments and print or send their receipt by email.
All you need to start selling is an Android phone, an iPhone, or an iPad; the Shopify POS app; and a product to sell. Shopify POS works with various retail hardware, such as a cash drawer, iPad stand, receipt printer, or barcode scanner, though you can process sales without these items.
Can I merge my Shopify ecommerce account with Shopify POS?
Absolutely, your online store automatically syncs with Shopify POS, so you can manage your entire business with Shopify. Adding products or updating inventory with Shopify will update everywhere in real time.
Do I have to sell the same products with Shopify POS as I do online?
No, you can choose exactly what products to sell online, with Shopify POS, or both.
Which countries and currencies are usable with Shopify POS?

What devices does Shopify POS work with?
Shopify POS works with any Android phone, iPhone, or iPad.
Can I use Shopify POS if I have multiple registers?
Yes, you can have multiple “registers” by using more than one iPad running Shopify POS in your store. Shopify allows for unlimited registers, so use as many devices as you need. You won’t be charged any extra for having more than one register.
Can I use Shopify POS if I have more than 1 employee?
Yes, you can have unlimited employees’ using Shopify POS. You can also upgrade your Shopify POS to the Retail Package which includes unlimited point of sale staff PINs so that you can create staff permissions and track your employees’ register usage and sales.
Can I use Shopify POS if I have multiple stores?
Yes you can have Shopify POS in multiple stores. You can add multiple locations in your store’s admin. You won’t be charged any extra for having more than one store running Shopify POS.
What methods of payment can my customers use?
You can accept any method of payment with Shopify POS. If you’re located in the US, UK, or Canada accept payments with the Shopify credit card reader and Shopify Payments. If you are outside the US, UK, or Canada, you can purchase or rent an external credit card terminal from a payment processor to use with Shopify POS. Are there any transaction fees or other hidden fees I should worry about?
If you are using the Shopify card reader with Shopify Payments, you will pay only the credit card processing fee. If you accept any other type of payment on Shopify POS (e.g. cash, external debit, external credit etc.) you will not pay a transaction fee of any sort.
Can I use gift cards?

Can I give refunds?
Yes, you can refund or exchange an item using Shopify POS.
Can I split a payment on Shopify POS?
Yes, you can split payments into multiple payment methods, as well as offer partial payments if you’d like your customer to complete their payment at a later time.
Can I use Shopify POS if I’m outside the US, UK, or Canada?
The Shopify POS app is available worldwide. There are just two major differences:

The Swipe card reader plugs into your Android phone, iPad, and iPhone through the headphone jack. You can use it to swipe and accept credit card payments. Your customers will sign their names right on your device. This card reader is available in the US and Canada.
The Tap, Chip, and Swipe card reader connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to your iPhone or iPad. You can use it to accept swipe, tap, and chip and PIN credit card payments. This card reader is available in the US and UK.
You’ll pay very low credit card swipe rates using Shopify Payments and the Shopify card reader.
